Elizabeth is a Registered Dietitian, Certified Holistic Chef, Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Yoga Teacher with over 30 years of professional experience in Sports Nutrition, Diabetes Education, Recipe Development, and Weight Management. As a certified expert in these fields, she combines her love of fitness and culinary arts to promote optimal health.
Since 1998, Elizabeth has conducted hundreds of live cooking demonstrations and expert interviews on nationally syndicated networks like CBS, ABC, NBC and Fox News. She has also appeared as a guest chef on TBS’s Dinner and a Movie. Her Demo Reel, interviews, and other educational videos can be found on her YouTube channel, Elizabeth Brown.
Media Contributions and Writing Career
Elizabeth’s writing career took off in 1997, when she started contributing to renowned publications such as Men’s Health, Prevention, and Runner’s World. She brought her fitness expertise to the book Banish Your Belly and was featured as a grocery shopping expert for Men’s Health. It was during this time that Greg Gutfeld of Fox News gave her the nickname “The Kitchen Vixen.”
Since 2010, Elizabeth has been a regular contributor to Oxygen and Clean Eating magazines, creating recipes and writing content focused on obtaining optimal nutrition. She has also contributed to the running website WalkJogRun.com. She was the dietitian for the L.E.O.P.A.R.D. Challenge, a national police fitness competition. Locally, she’s been a weekly nutrition columnist for the Santa Monica Daily Press since 2008.
Elizabeth served as the dietitian and recipe creator for actor Sam Hueghan’s: My Peak Challenge charitable fund providing high protein, healthy recipes and monthly meal plans for My Peak Challenge’s half a million subscribers.

“I love writing stories that inspire people to make the best food choices,” Elizabeth says. She strives to help her audience understand how food affects their health and shows them how to fuel their bodies throughout the day.
In addition to sharing her expertise with readers and viewers, Elizabeth has also served as a private chef for high-profile clients, including the founder of Fashion Nova and the owner of Seven Jeans.
Fitness and Nutrition Expertise

Elizabeth’s personal journey in fitness is as extensive as her nutrition expertise. She enjoys weightlifting, running, and cycling, and has competed in bodybuilding, powerlifting, and marathons. As a fitness model, she even worked with renowned artists Boris Vallejo and Julie Bell and was immortalized in a bronze statue by The Franklin Mint.
Her fitness expertise is backed by her academic credentials. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition with an emphasis in Exercise Physiology from Penn State University and a Master’s in Nutrition with a focus on Weight Management and Sports Nutrition from Marywood University.
She also has a culinary degree from The Bauman School for Holistic Nutrition, where she studied the use of whole foods for disease prevention.
She is an ACE certified personal trainer, and recently completed her 200 hours of level one yoga teacher training.
